Ahti Leuku kniv 180mm
Fremstillet i Kauhava!
Stylish knife with a strong handle made of Finnish birch. A good gift idea!
The knife has a strong brown handle made of birch and a 180mm blade made of vanadium carbon steel. All Ahti knives have a handle that fits better in the hand.
The raw material for the black-sided blades is vanadium carbon steel. Vanadium improves the properties of the steel, making the steel tougher and stronger. Thanks to the high carbon content of 0.80%, the hardness of the blade is 59 HRC, so they also stay sharp for a long time.
The handle is made of Finnish birch, which is known for its beautiful and strong grain pattern. The birch handle is also treated with a mixture of linseed oil and beeswax, which gives the handle a beautiful finish and protects it from moisture and dirt. In addition, the birch handle offers a solid grip.
The sheath is made of strong cowhide and is decorated with beautiful engravings. The sheath has a plastic liner to prevent the blade from cutting through the sheath.
- Overall length without sheath 305mm
The knife masters Reino and Janne Kamppila from Kauhava make Ahti knives by hand. The Kamppilas have decades of experience in making knives, which is evident in the well-considered design and excellent finish of the knives.
Dry and clean the knife after use. Oil, such as cooking oil, protects carbon steel from rust. Sharpen the knife regularly, as a completely dull knife is always more difficult to sharpen. A knife with a wooden handle is not suitable for a dishwasher.
