Magneto / staator with light coil for 50cc 70cc 90cc 110cc 125cc 140cc 4-stroke Honda-type engines. Suitable for almost all 50-140cc machines with Honda licensed engine.

With this light coil staator it is possible to get lights working on a pitbike! The staator has a vital role in the mopeds, pitbikes and quads, it creates power together with the flywheel. The staator creates spark for the engine and in this light coil model also power for the lights and other possible smaller power needs in the vehicles. Order if needed a voltage regulator from the additional accessories bar to regulate the voltage to 12 volts and to fix the flickering lights etc.

This universal model magneto / staator fits on almost all brands, such as Monkey, Samurai, Comanche, Fude GXT, Pitbike, Xmoto, Coman, Falcon, Kazuma etc.

This magneto is used on several Honda-type engines for example in quads, mopeds and pitbikes 50cc, 70cc, 72cc, 90cc, 110cc, 125cc and 140cc engines.

This part is usually the problem if the pitbike, quad or moped won't start / no spark. Check if the background plate of the staator is intact / if the impulse sensor is attached correctly.

Values for the coils of the staator / magneto:

(impulse sensor about 130 Ohm) 110-140 Ohm, between the green and blue/white
(spark power coil about 340 Ohm) 320-360 Ohm, between the green and black/red
Black/red wire -> Spark power wire to CDI
Blue/white wire -> Signal wire from impulse sensor to CDI
Yellow/black wire -> Ground wire from CDI to the coil
Green wire -> Common ground for CDI, coil, staator
White wire -> Neutral wire, not used
Outer diameter of the mounting plate 115 mm
Outer diameter of the coils 84 mm
Distance between the mounting holes (center to center) 101 mm

If the ohm values are correct and the background plate is intact, the problem is most likely in the CDI box / ignition unit.

Also, pay attention to the condition of the magneto cover, which has an important role in protecting the staator and flywheel of the moped, pitbike or quad. The magneto cover provides protection from chain breakages and jumps off the sprockets. It protects the staator from general dirt and grime as well. If the magneto cover is damaged, it is generally because of a chain issue. To prevent the magneto cover from damaging, it is important to pay attention to the correct tension of the chain, the condition of the chain and sprockets, and also a well-serviced chain line to increase the safety of use of the pitbike, quad or moped.
